Located in Naracoorte, the heart of South Australia's Limestone Coast, MiniJumbuk has been handcrafting Australia's favourite wool bedding products for over 40 years.
Nestled among pristine farmland, shaded by towering red gums and offering the perfect setting for sheep grazing and a wool based industry MiniJumbuk has called the thriving regional town of Naracoorte home since its establishment in 1975.
After humble beginnings, creating woolly souvenir sheep (mini jumbuck's) for tourists, an agreement mid-1970 saw MiniJumbuk produce their first commercial quilt, crafted exclusively for Onkaparinga. The Kwilta quickly achieved national popularity and was soon followed by the popular Woolover. When Onkaparinga moved their business focus to their wool blanket range, MiniJumbuk seized the opportunity and launched their own OverWool range in 1985.
A family of quilts was created around the OverWool. Building on their passion for natural fibre, MiniJumbuk experimented with the addition of cotton and cashmere to the quilt fill. The range expanded to include warmer quilts, a summer Wool Cotton quilt in 1998 and the Jumbuk 4 Kids quilt in 2007. Two years later, commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, saw the release of the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum ranges, which alongside the Kids and Summer quilts, cemented the MiniJumbuk brand in the marketplace.
Today, with the introduction of our Airlight Technology in 2014, MiniJumbuk continues to lead the way in the bedding industry with its iconic Australian wool quilts. Easily identifiable in their eye-catching and informative boxes, the current MiniJumbuk quilt range; Ultralight, Cool, Everyday, Warm and Thermal, together with the children's Dreamers range and LaLa range for babies, are readily found in stores both nationally and overseas.
From the first Kwilta through to our current Airlight Technology range, MiniJumbuk quilts have undergone many changes. Today, as a global leader in the design and manufacture of wool quilts, MiniJumbuk's remains committed to offering our customers a premium product to enhance night-time comfort and improve sleep.
