Danny Schapel | Wool-Carding Technician
You have worked in many different roles at MiniJumbuk, what is your main role now?
Yeah, I do seem to work in a few different roles at MiniJumbuk. The two main roles I have had over the years are in the dispatch centre and as a wool-carding technician. At the moment I am working as a wool-carding technician.
The wool-card is one of the first stages the wool goes through when arriving at the MiniJumbuk Mill. It’s where the wool is combed and teased to make it soft and light before it goes inside the quilts and pillows. You can see more of the wool carding line in the new Airlight video.
What is your favourite MiniJumbuk product and why?
I can’t go past the Boutique or Essence pillow, I often sleep on my side so the high latex core is just amazing the sleep on!
What kind of things do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy music and playing the guitar. During the summer months most of my weekends are filled up with cricket and enjoying a few beers with the boys!
