How to clean your MiniJumbuk

How to clean your MiniJumbuk

Here at MiniJumbuk we love wool, especially when it comes to cleaning! Wool is an extremely versatile fibre with many fabulous qualities that make it easy care and easy to clean. In many instances, your bedding may not need to be laundered. Our wool bedding loves fresh air and sunshine. Airing your quilt, pillow or mattress topper regularly, minimises the need for washing and will help to prolong the life of your product.

Choose a warm, sunny day with a light breeze and pop your bedding on the clothes line. A light spritz of water will rejuvenate the wool fibres. For that extra freshness, with a hint of the Australian outback, add a few drops of tea tree or eucalyptus to the spray water. Give your quilt a good shake, your topper a quick vacuum to lift the pile and ensure your bedclothes are completely dry before you return them to your bed.

If lazy mornings or breakfast in bed, result in accidents on your bedding - relax! Small spills are easily dealt with by spot cleaning. A mix of alcohol and white vinegar will remove black coffee, while white spirit is effective for butter or chocolate. The Woolmark Company Wool Care Guide App or The Woolmark website is a convenient source of information, providing solutions for a wide range of mishaps. There are hints for blood, fruit juice and ink or even lipstick and red wine.

When your bedding does need to be cleaned, the first and most important step is to check the care label. Many MiniJumbuk products are able to be machine washed and even tumble dried at home, using wool approved detergents and by following the care instructions. For peace of mind, when cleaning larger sizes and dry clean only products, we recommend protecting your investment by professionally laundering your items using members of the Drycleaning Institute of Australia.
