MiniJumbuk have been handcrafting our extensive range of wool quilts in Naracoorte, South Australia, for over forty years. With a range of five to choose from, you may think that deciding which quilt will be perfect for you could be difficult. Not at all! All MiniJumbuk quilts come with the GSM measure marked clearly on the front of our packaging; a simple way of comparing the warmth levels between each quilt.
GSM or grams per square metre, refers to exactly that - the amount of fill each quilt contains per square metre. A lower number makes for a cooler lighter quilt, while higher numbers ensure you will be warm on even the coldest of nights. And with MiniJumbuk pioneering our innovative Airlight technology® we have created warmer quilts for less weight: you will remain toasty warm without being weighed down by heavy bedding.
Wool is a natural, breathable fibre. While it will keep you warm on colder nights, its wicking abilities also help to keep you cool, dry and comfortable in warmer temperatures. When choosing your MiniJumbuk quilt first consider your needs to establish what level of warmth best suit your requirements. Once you have determined whether you are a hot or cold sleeper and the general temperature of your sleep environment use the quilt's GSM figure to select the one most suited to your sleeping temperature.
