MiniJumbuk Pillow Care Guide

MiniJumbuk Pillow Care Guide

Your MiniJumbuk Pillow will provide comfort, breathability and support and with the right care you can enjoy the benefits for longer.

Here’s our simple tips to keep your pillow feeling fresh.

Refresh with Air, Not Washing
Although our pillows are machine washable, it’s not necessary to regularly wash it. Wool is a natural fibre; it benefits from nature’s fresh air and sunshine. Every few months refresh your pillow outside in the sunshine and let nature rejuvenate the fibres for you. The fresh air helps release trapped moisture and odours.

Extra Tip: Spray with a little water or MiniJumbuk Wool Spray for a little extra freshness.

Washing
MiniJumbuk Pillows are machine washable but it’s always best to check the care labels before washing or dry cleaning. Wool is robust but it doesn’t like excess heat or agitation, so keep this in mind when using your domestic washing machine.

Machine Washing
Wool has an incredible ability to absorb moisture – up to 35% of its own weight. This means your pillow will become significantly heavier when wet. Most domestic machines have a lower capacity for wool items than standard loads. If your pillows are too snug or bunching in your home machine, we recommend using a larger commercial machine.

• Use a front loader
• 40°C warm water
• Use an approved wool detergent (like MiniJumbuk’s Wool Wash)

Spot Cleaning
Spot cleaning is a great alternative to machine washing. For small stains we recommend Woolmark’s spot cleaning mix.
Mix 1 tsp wool detergent + 1 tsp white vinegar + 1L warm water.
Dab gently, don’t rub.

Extra Protection
If you want a little extra protection, consider a breathable, natural fibre pillow protector, like our Sleep Cool Pillow Protector. It’s an easy way to extend the life of your pillow and guard it from dust, sweat and everyday wear – while still allowing the wool to breathe. But be mindful that it may change the feel of your pillow.

It’s always a good idea to use quality, breathable pillowcases and regularly washing your linen to pro-long the life of your pillows.

With a little simple care, your MiniJumbuk wool pillow will stay supportive, breathable and comfortable – so you achieve a better night’s sleep.
